Kicking Off the New Year with Expanded Coverage and Faster Payments

All Taxes. One Platform. No Penalties.

We are starting the new year by making tax payments easier to execute across more jurisdictions with less setup and less delay.

From expanded US state coverage to faster Canadian payments and a smoother onboarding experience, Remitian continues to centralize tax payment workflows into a single platform firms can rely on.

All Taxes

Expanded US State Coverage

Remitian now supports tax payments in additional US states, allowing firms to manage more obligations without switching tax portals or maintaining parallel processes.

Newly supported states include:

  • New Mexico
  • Oklahoma
  • Kentucky
  • Oregon
  • Missouri
  • Michigan
  • Maryland
  • Vermont
  • Delaware
  • Utah
  • Pennsylvania
  • Texas
  • Tennessee
  • Ohio
  • Illinois

As coverage expands, firms can confidently manage state level payments alongside federal and other obligations in one place.

One Platform

Streamlined Taxpayer Onboarding

We have introduced Plaid based identity verification for taxpayers directly within Remitian to simplify the onboarding experience.

This update reduces the time and effort required to get clients set up and ready to pay.

What this means for firms:

  • Faster taxpayer onboarding
  • Fewer back and forth requests with clients
  • Less manual follow up for firm teams
  • More consistent setup across all clients

By standardizing identity verification inside the platform, firms can move from setup to payment with fewer delays.

No Penalties

Priority Payment for Canada

For time sensitive Canadian filings, Remitian now offers a new premium payment option designed to significantly reduce processing time.

Priority Payment shortens Canadian processing from approximately six days to about one business day.

This option is well suited for situations where payment timing matters. Priority Payment is currently in beta and available to Canadian firms. US support is planned for Q2 2026.

Built to Keep Payments Moving

These updates help firms move faster, cover more jurisdictions, and reduce friction at every stage of the tax payment process.
